FAQs

Our most common questions to help you!

Ordering & General

  • What services do you provide?

We offer a variety of services, including custom banners, single or fleet vehicle wraps, wall designs, interior/exterior signage, and miscellaneous promotional materials.

  • What is the best file format for logos/artwork?

A vector-based file (like PDF, EPS, or AI) with all fonts converted to outlines is preferred for the best print quality. An extra fee may be charged for recreating non-print-ready files.

  • What types of payments are accepted?

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

  • How much will (insert project) cost?

“Ballpark” general pricing is found on our website under the “Pricing” tab.

  • Do you perform installation?

Yes, installation is included in the quote unless specified otherwise.

  • How long does installation take?

Installation time will vary depending on the type of your project, as well as how quickly we have a final design to work with.  Vehicle Graphics can take as little as an hour.  Full wraps for standard vehicles usually take 1-2 business days.  For vehicle complex projects, we often ask for an extra day for a thorough quality review or if reprints are needed to make the finished product the best quality.    Depending on the weather, we may ask for some cure time, to allow for potential issues due to dramatic temperature changes.    For wall graphics projects this can take 1-2 business days or longer depending upon the coverage and wall texture.  Outdoor projects require at least 50+ degree temperatures in order to allow full adhesion and to avoid the vinyl from breaking.

  • Are there limitations on colors?

No, there is no limitation on color. However, specifying Pantone Match System (PMS) colors will get you the most accurate results from our printer.  You can also provide HEX Codes, as well.  We will do our best to match colors and in many cases print a sample for sign-off prior to printing the full size project.

  • Can I use my own design?

Yes, feel free to supply us with your own artwork. The ideal file types are PDF, editable EPS, or AI files, utilizing vectors to avoid pixillation. While our designers can recreate JPEG or PNG files as vectors, there may be an additional fee.  Keep in mind most AI generated artwork may still be a need to be recreated as vector format in order to assure correct colors and quality.

  • Are there design limitations?

While there are generally no design limitations, please have realistic expectations for size and material durability in consideration for your intended location.

  • How long will production take?

For vinyl projects, production will take 3-5 business days after design proof is approved. For 3D signage, production time generally ranges from 7 to 15 business days, depending on the complexity of the order.

  • Will I see a proof before production?

Of course! We will always ask for your approval on a design before starting the manufacturing process.

  • How do I place an order?

Contact us at projects@wraphouseindy.com, fillout a quote form, or call us at (317) 426-1127. You provide us with the project details, and we will send you a quote as soon as we can. After quote approval, you get an artwork proof. Once the artwork is approved, the product is printed and an installation/delivery time is scheduled.

  • Can I change an order after placing it?

Any changes can be requested and our designers will work with you to your satisfaction, up until the artwork is approved. Once approval is given, printing begins and no further changes can be made.

Commercial Fleet & Vehicle Graphics

  • How long will my vehicle wrap last?

Vehicle wraps typically last 4-7 years, depending on care and sun exposure. We recommend keeping the vehicle under cover when possible to extend the wrap's life.

  • Will a wrap damage my vehicle's paint?

No; in fact, the wrap can help protect your vehicle from scratches.

  • Can my wrapped vehicle go through a car wash?

While it technically can, we recommend hand washing with mild detergent to extend the wrap's life.

  • Can I install or remove a wrap myself?

We strongly recommend professional installation to ensure a successful application. Wraphouse Graphics can provide this service.

  • Do you offer full wraps or only partial?

We can wrap however much of your vehicle(s) you need.

  • How are windows covered?

We use a perforated window film that allows the driver to see out from inside the vehicle, but the graphic is visible to people outside.

Wall & Window Graphics

  • Can the wraps be applied to any wall surface?

Smooth surfaces like painted drywall, glass, and sealed wood are best.

  • My wall was just painted. When can I apply the wrap?

Wait 3 to 4 weeks for freshly painted walls to fully cure before application.

  • Can I install the wall wrap myself (DIY)?

We recommended letting our team professionally install large wraps for the best results, but DIY is possible for smaller decals.

  • How long will a custom wall wrap last?

Indoor wraps typically last 5 to 10 years with proper care.

  • How do I clean the wrapped surface?

Use a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid abrasive cleaners.

  • Will the wrap damage my wall when removed?

Our vinyl wraps are designed for clean removal from properly prepared and painted walls, only minor touch-ups might be needed. Temporary products are easy to remove.

  • Are the wraps reusable?

Our wraps are not reusable after initial application.

Custom Signage

  • What materials are used for 3D signs?

Common materials include acrylic, aluminum or stainless steel, PVC, high-density foam (HDF), and wood.

  • Can the sign be used outdoors?

Yes, but the material choice is crucial. Durable and weather-resistant materials like metal and acrylic are excellent choices for outdoor use and can withstand harsh conditions. Wood can also be used outdoors, but it may require more maintenance.

  • Can I incorporate lighting into 3D signs?

Yes, 3D signs can be illuminated internally with LEDs or neon, or externally with spotlights to enhance visibility 24/7.

  • How is the sign installed?

Installation methods vary depending on the material and mounting surface. Options include brackets, decorative standoff hardware, or stud mounting.

  • Can I install the sign myself?

Unless you have specifically requested to add features like mounting, it’s best to let our team handle it to ensure proper installation.

  • What should I consider before ordering a record board?

Consider the location, average viewing distance, and content. The primary consideration is whether the board will be displayed indoors or outdoors, in order to determine the appropriate materials and finish needed. The distance from which people will typically view your board should influence your  font size board dimensions. Finally, be sure what information you want on the board before ordering, so that we can enter production as soon as possible.

  • What materials are used for a record board?

For an indoor board, acrylic or PVC with a protective laminate. For an outdoor board, durable highway-signage-grade aluminum or polymetal substrates with UV-resistant vinyl and a protective laminate.

  • How durable are the boards?

Aluminum/acrylic boards typically last 15-20 years indoors, while UV-resistant vinyl used outdoors would last 8-12 years.

Other Vinyl Products

  • Can you print custom sizes?

Yes, we can print up to 53" wide and any length. For significantly larger projects, the work may have seams.

  • What are vinyl banners made of?

Ours are made of a flexible substrate with a PVC coating wrapped around a scrim core. Our material weights (thicknesses) include 13 oz standard, 18 oz heavy-duty, and 9 oz mesh vinyl.

  • Are vinyl banners durable for outdoor use?

Yes, they are designed to be durable and weather-resistant. We recommend heavy-duty 18 oz vinyl or 9 oz mesh material for long-term outdoor use or high-wind areas, as mesh allows wind to pass through and reduces the risk of tearing.

  • Will my vinyl banner fade in the sunlight?

Our printers use UV-cured inks, which are designed to minimize fading from sun exposure during normal use.

  • How long will my banner last?

The lifespan will vary depending on indoor vs. outdoor usage, installation, and weather conditions. Outdoor banners will last 3 to 5 years with proper care. Indoor banners can last much longer, potentially a lifetime.

  • What is the right banner size?

There is no single "standard" size; the size depends entirely on where the banner will be displayed and the viewing distance. A 3'x6' or 4'x8' is a common size for store fronts or events, while a 2'x4' is better for tabletops.

  • Can banners be printed on both sides?

Yes, double-sided printing is available for 15 oz or 18 oz blockout vinyl, which is opaque so that one side's message doesn't show through to the other. Mesh banners can only be printed on one side, however.

  • How can I make sure my banner attracts attention?

Use large, bold fonts and high-contrast colors to ensure readability from a distance. Keep the message concise and simple.

  • Will my banners come with grommets?

Grommets or pole pockets are available by request, and come at no additional fee.

  • How should I hang my banner?

Various hanging methods are ropes, bungee cords (recommended for outdoor use as they flex in the wind), or plastic ties strung through grommets. Alternatively, pole pockets can be used with banner stands or poles.

  • How do I clean my banner?

Use a soft cloth or sponge, mild soap, and water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals because they will damage the material or print.

  • What is the proper way to store my vinyl banner?

Banners should be stored rolled up in a cool, dry area. Avoid fluctuating temperatures and humidity, and avoid folding them tightly to prevent creases and damage.
